Fullstack Developer
We are hiring a Fullstack Developer who can own systems and delivery end-to-end. Beyond client work, Vyomco builds headless commerce projects (Next.js, Hydrogen, Storefront API) and contributes to open source development — you will design architecture, ship scalable applications, manage development workflows, and use AI-assisted tools to move faster without sacrificing quality.
Job description
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and modern JavaScript / TypeScript
- Build headless storefronts and decoupled frontends connected to Shopify, CMS, or custom backends
- Contribute to open source projects — fixes, features, documentation, and community-facing improvements
- Own technical architecture — APIs, services, databases, integrations, and deployment approach
- Manage development delivery: task breakdown, estimates, code reviews, and release readiness
- Build REST and GraphQL APIs and third-party integrations for varied client industries
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) for faster, high-quality output
- Optimise frontend performance, SSR/SSG patterns, and backend response times
- Lead code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices on active projects
- Mentor junior developers and uplift code quality, documentation, and delivery standards
- Collaborate with designers, PMs, SEO, QA, and clients on scope and technical decisions
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Own staging, deployment, monitoring, and rollback planning for client releases
- Document technical decisions, handoffs, and standards for repeatable agency delivery
Core requirements
- 2+ years full-stack development with JavaScript / TypeScript
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and component-driven architecture
- Solid backend/API experience — Node.js, Express, or equivalent server-side stack
- Proven experience owning delivery on client, product, or multi-project environments
- Strong understanding of Git, branching strategies, code review, and release workflows
- Ability to estimate work, plan sprints, and communicate timelines to PMs and clients
- Experience with databases — design, queries, migrations, and basic optimisation
- Understanding of security basics — auth, input validation, secrets, and API hardening
- BE / B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA
- Comfort with hybrid, remote, full-time, or part-time engagement
Architecture & Advanced Skills
- Headless commerce — Hydrogen, Storefront API, Next.js SSR/SSG, and decoupled architectures
- Open source contribution workflows — forks, PRs, issues, releases, and maintainer collaboration
- Designing scalable and maintainable system architecture for web applications
- Microservices or modular API design, caching, and performance optimisation
- Secure authentication (JWT, OAuth) and webhook/integration patterns
- Database design and query optimisation (SQL or NoSQL)
Preferred / nice to have
- Published open source packages, libraries, or meaningful GitHub contributions
- Headless Shopify, Contentful, Sanity, or headless CMS integration experience
- Cloud experience — Vercel, AWS, Azure, or similar
- CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and staging/production deployment workflows
- CMS or platform experience (WordPress, Shopify, custom SaaS, or enterprise builds)
- Next.js SSR/SSG performance tuning and monitoring tooling
- Exposure to multi-tenant, international, or high-traffic applications
